Station to Station Telephone is used to provide communication between up & down stations & also enables a station master to call a level crossing gate.
Station to Station Telephone is used to provide communication between up & down stations & also enables a station master to call a level crossing gate. It is housed in an unbreakable ABS plastic case and base. The handset is also of ABS material and has dynamic microphone and receiver capsules with a 4 way coiled cord. To call a distant station a button is provided on the case. It operates a micro switch and generates a tone. Whenever the station is called a piezo buzzer will ring for about 3 seconds. In addition, a Ring LED (Red) indication will come ON & remains ON until the handset is lifted. Whenever a station is called an answer back tone is generated & the calling party will get a positive feedback that the called station is ringing. The instrument is protected against reverse polarity and surges.
