This desk type telephone is very useful for providing point to point communication on a 2 Wire basis.
This desk type telephone is very useful for providing point to point communication on a 2 Wire basis. It can be used between station master and Level crossing gate/cabin/yard/adjacent station for instance. This is an ideal replacement to the magneto telephone. Tone signaling is used to call the distant station. A piezo buzzer rings whenever a station is called. The telephone works on 6 Volts DC.
The telephone is housed in an aesthetic ABS plastic cabinet. A calling button is provided on the body to transmit a tone to the distant telephone. A latched LED indication comes on whenever the station is called along with a Piezo buzzer. The LED remains ON until the HMT is lifted.
