This equipment is to be connected to the 4 Wire Trans & Receive lines along the track side through an Emergency Socket. The equipment can now access a Divisional Office telephone exchange and dial up any subscriber without anyone's assistance through the Auto Exchange Interface provided at the Divisional Office. By assigning a distinctive number from the Divisional Office this remote equipment can be easily accessed by any subscriber of the Divisional Office and vice versa without the intervention of the exchange staff. This provides a quick and effective communication system using the existing 4 wire cable circuits from the accident spot. Officers can co-ordinate the relief work by directly communicating the personnel at the accident spot.
