Branching Equipment is used whenever the signal and speech from Controller or a Way Side Station is to be extended to 2 or more limbs of the 4 Wire Omni bus communication network. The signal fed at the REC of one Branch will be available as TRANS O/P on the all other branches and vice versa. This facility enables all the limbs of the 4 wire omni bus to communicate with each other effectively thus extending the network. The equipment is housed in a metal cabinet which can be either table / wall mounted. It works from 12V DC supply.
The circuit is designed to work into 600 Ohms communication lines. On board signal conditioners and gain adjustment presets are provided on the PCB to facilitate easy adaptability as per field conditions. Each limb is precisely balanced at factory to give 0 dB gain on all the limbs and there is no need to make major adjustments in the field except when the signal levels on the branches are grossly different. Terminal blocks with screw down terminals are provided for each branch to easily terminate incoming and outgoing lines. Each branch is suitably marked for easy identification.
